  I have had the WORST experience with this cemetery. My grandfather has been without an inscribed plaque for THREE years now. I have been given the run around for THREE years. Do not use them. The sadness and anguish regarding this has been very stressful. I hope this is rectified. asap. Everyone deserves to be remembered with dignity. I have been involved and visit the gravesite. I wonder how many loved ones are not able to visit and are not receiving what their loved one paid for.

  Shalom Gardens are a division or part of Caballero Rivero Southern Cemetery. In October 2021 I found out that Caballero Rivero Southern no longer places free temporary markers on new graves and neither does it sell or allow temporary markers. They would only place a temporary marker if you buy a memorial from them and pay in full. Installation from 12 to 24 months. Assuming the worst case scenario, 2 years to hold on to the family’s money for the privilege of having a temporary plastic marker placed on the grave. Shame on Caballero Rivero Southern Cemetery, holding hostage families who have loved ones at Shalom Memorial Gardens. I hope they change their policy soon.
  
  Shalom Memorial Gardens is a cozy and clean place, but before buying a plot from them, make sure that having a temporary maker is written in the contract.
